​ ​​'Sira​j' Prepaid Electricity Service​​ ​

Allows you to pay for electricity consumption in advance. You can purchase recharge coupons from one of the company's authorized POSs and recharge your meter using the recharge code.​​ ​​​​
You can apply for Siraj Service if your house is under construction or if you want to change your current Premise’s meter into Siraj.​​

Terms & Conditions​​​
  • • ​​Upon application for connection, you shall be required to provide the property's the electrical load details along with the data of the authorized electrician (has a license to practise from the Company or one of the authorized distribution companies)
  • • ​The company may reinforce the grid, if necessary.
  • ​•​​ ​The meter type shall be chosen: Prepaid (Siraj) upon application

​• All outstanding dues shall be paid before change into the prepaid service. In case of default, an agreement shall be concluded with the subscriber for the transfer of the outstanding dues to the prepaid account so that they will be deducted from the meter recharge transactions
• All subscribers can get a prepaid meter except in the following cases:
• ​The subscribers having current transformer meters
• The prepaid meter is not recommended for subscribers with special needs (especially the cases that require continuous electric current connection).
Required Documents​​
​​​​• The competent municipality's approval for service provision
• The original personal ID Card
• Copies of the title deed and the cadastral map
​• A copy of the electrician's license to practise
• Approval for the agreement for connection / provision of the simple connections ​​​​
​​​​• A copy of the last paid invoice
• Filling in an application for a prepaid meter
• A copy of the personal ID Card​​​
​​​Service Workflow​
​​• ​After the study of your application, the building shall be inspected for approval
​• You shall be provided with a prepaid meter along with a home monitor
• For meter startup, you shall have OMR 1 balance which shall be paid upon application for service. It shall give you sufficient time for recharging the meter. ​​​​
​​​• An application shall be filed at the contact center or an office of Mazoon Electricity Company shall be visited.
​​​• After the study of your application, the building shall be inspected for approval

Average Time Taken for Service Provision​​​Two working days after payment​
​• Installation shall usually take about 45 to 60 minutes which varies according to the current meter location and the type of the meter to be installed.
• The prepaid meter shall be installed within two working days. You shall be notified in case of any delay in installation
Service Charges & Payment Method​​​​• Connection Service Charges:
​• The connection service charges for a one-phase meter is OMR 10​
• The connection service charges for a three-phase meter is OMR 40​

​• Three-phase Meter: OMR 62.700

• The meter can be recharged through: mobile applications, Easy deposit (Kiosk) machines (OIFC, ONEIC) and the branch offices of ONEIC & (OIFC)​
