Energy

The cost of purchasing energy from Oman Power 

and Water Procurement Company SAOC (OPWP). Defined as Bulk Supply Tariff (BSTt)

Demand
  • Transmission use of system charge is a demand charge based on customers’ contribution to the transmission network’s average system peak also known as Maximum Transmission System Demand (“MTSD”). MTSD is calculated as an average across three snapshots during which total system demand is at its highest (with the three snapshots at least 21 days apart). Peak hours are normally achieved during the summer period.​

Energy
The charges for using the distribution network that delivers electricity from the transmission substation to customers’ premises. Customers connected on the transmission network WILL NOT PAY Distribution Charges, as they do not use the distribution network.

The cost of meter reading, billing, collection and other services provided to the customer. This is a flat fee per customer, regardless the annual consumption.
